The Reading band tracker for Primary school Teachers

If you've ever wanted to upgrade the way you keep track of your students reading and reading levels/book bands, then this Google Sheets Template is for you!

What are reading/book banding?

Book banding is a system that allows teachers and schools to carefully assess their books by difficulty level. It includes both EYFS and KS1/KS2 reading levels, and is a great way to encourage students to progress their reading skills without the reading getting too difficult too fast.

Many schools will give each book band its own colour, which enables the students to choose the right books for their reading ability with confidence. One such example is the Oxford Owl Tree Scheme which groups books in different bands.

What is included?

A 'Setup' page that lets you input the Reading levels you use(Oxford Owl Tree, Other schemes), the level descriptors your school uses for periodical checks (Above, at, or below age related expectations, etc.) and the students' names.

Once set up the 'Tracking' sheet has drop down boxes for each month as they move up or down the band levels. Great for tracking and making sure everyone is making the progress they should!

This product is for a single teacher to use in the classroom.
